Welcome to the Trainscapes segment! Each week here on Geek Alabama, Trainscapes will feature train content including videos of trains and behind the scenes action of trains and locomotives. Some people have an interest in seeing trains, and we here at Geek Alabama aim to please the train lovers!
Over the first weekend of October, I took a trip up to Pittsburgh to visit family. I decided to drive along the CSX Metropolitan Subdivision, Cumberland Subdivision, and Keystone Subdivision on my way. Unfortunately there was not much rail traffic so I was not able to catch much action but still got some pretty scenery shots.
Once in Pittsburgh, I was able to spend some time on Saturday rail fanning along the Monongahela river where the CSX Pittsburgh and P&W Subdivisions split and the Norfolk Southern Mon Line runs along the south bank.
