With this campaign, I’m inviting both previous and new backers to join us on an exciting adventure as we unveil the incredible new edition of Dream Big, Little Peanut AND the founding of Half Pint Press, a new indie publishing house dedicated to accessibility, diversity, and quality in children’s books!
Inspired by quiet moments with my daughter, Sloane (AKA Peanut), Dream Big, Little Peanut is a heartwarming tale set to capture the essence of unconditional love and self-expression. Partnering with the immensely talented DC Ice, we’ve brought this sweet and silly song to life through enchanting illustrations and heartfelt storytelling.
But our journey didn’t end with the first edition of our book, which arrived in 2023. Driven by a passion for excellence and a commitment to our vision, we’ve reworked Dream Big, Little Peanut with new layouts and more art. With even more of DC’s stunning illustrations adorning every page, this new edition shines even brighter.
While the book’s first edition was well received, it did not achieve our vision or high standards. The color balance didn’t do DC’s incredible illustrations justice. We pulled the book from the original publisher and completely reworked it. The words and the main illustrations are the same, but DC added so much new art to this edition! Together, we painstakingly created something beautiful and can’t wait to show you! We are thrilled with how it turned out.
