Thanks so much for stopping by! If we haven’t met before, my name is Brianna Tam, and I’m a live looping electric cellist, a classical cellist, and a composer. Through music, I build lush and emotional symphonic worlds that are meant to provide you – the listener – with otherworldly experiences
My journey thus far has been nothing short of incredible. In 2021, I performed my live loops at a TEDx Talk, which was a dream come true. In 2022, I composed for four soundtracks, with one of them winning “Best Original Score” at the 2023 Red Dirt Film Festival. I was also recently selected as a Top Shelf pick for NPR’s 2023 Tiny Desk Contest.
I honestly believe that a lot of these miracles can be attributed to the extreme level of passion and commitment that I have for my music…which is why I’ve launched my very first Kickstarter campaign.
I AM
I’m releasing my second album. It’s titled, I AM.

This is a bit of a “the chicken or the egg” situation – I’m not sure whether the music forced me to grow as a person, or my growing as a person fueled the music. Maybe it was a bit of both.
Either way, I’ve put my entire heart and soul into this album. It’s deeply personal, yet, I know that the messages and feelings expressed are universal.
I AM is a Hero’s Journey. It’s a tumultuous odyssey towards finding fulfillment, happiness, and peace from within, rather than from without. Inspired by my own life-changing internal journey, I AM ventures into those incredibly dark and vulnerable places within us that people often deny or hide from. However, it is in these shadows that we may understand our responsibility in creating the chaos and dismay in our lives, and therefore rise to a place of instead creating goodness and light.
Why I’m Asking For Help
So far, I’ve self-funded every release, project, video, etc. I’ve also received help from many incredible people. For this album, the music production itself is already completely done.
However, I recently realized that this project is much more than just an album. My hope is that it’s a catalyst for society to abandon the victim card and cease its obsession blaming others for problems. My goal is to help people wake up to the jarring truth that the only hero and villain to our story is ourselves.
It can be difficult to convey a clear story through lyric-less music, and so I’m teaming up with amazing creatives in order to create visuals (a music video, accompanying artwork, etc.) that’ll help me deliver my message. I’m also creating a marketing strategy to help the music and message touch as many lives as possible.
(I also think printing some vinyls would be cool)
Of course, these things all cost money. I refuse to cut corners as I believe that my listeners deserve only high quality content. And so, I’m humbly asking you for your help in bringing this vision to life. It’s through your continued abundance of love and support that I’ve been able to build such a wonderful community in such a short amount of time.
This release isn’t about the streams or likes; it’s about leading a movement, and ideally one towards goodness and authenticity, which I believe can only really be conveyed with the assistance of visuals and marketing.
