The Inner Light: Flute Music from the Final Frontier
I have created beautiful arrangements of favorite Star Trek themes for various ensembles, including flute quartet and flute solo with piano. I also use other members of the flute family, such as alto flute, and even pennywhistle (or Ressikan Flute if you’re a certain captain of the Enterprise). It is time for me to take all of these arrangements and put them on an album so you can enjoy them any time you want!
Who is The Nerdy Flutist?
The Nerdy Flutist, aka Kelly, is a professional flutist and long-time Trek fan. She started her online journey during the 2020 Pandemic, uploading ensemble videos for fun on YouTube. In 2021, she joined TikTok and met an amazing group of fellow Star Trek fans who call themselves TrekTok. Going live and entertaining her fellow Trekkies has become a passion, as she has been performing live shows on Twitch for the past year. In October 2022, Kelly appeared at the Janeway Statue in Bloomington, Indiana, where she got to perform for and meet Kate Mulgrew.
What’s the Project?
This album will include every Star Trek theme that I have arranged for either flute ensemble or solo flute with piano. I also plan on writing one or two new arrangements just for the album release! The tracks will be as follows (order may vary)

Why do I need your help?
Doing an entire album of cover songs means that I need to secure mechanical licenses for every single song on the album. I am also hiring a professional audio engineer to mix and master my tracks so they sound the best they can sound! He did great work on my Deep Space Nine single, which you can listen to on YouTube, Spotify, or any other digital music platform. (It will also be included on this album!) I will also need funds for things like the technology I use to create my tracks, music distribution fees, printing the physical albums, and any of the other physical rewards for this fundraiser.
As of March 22nd, this project has raised $3,000 of their $2,500 goal. This project has 25 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $10, you will get a digital album. For a pledge of $20, you will get one physical album.
