Crowdsourcing Mornings: Such Good Bread Cookbook

Welcome to the Crowdsourcing Mornings segment!  Every weekday morning, Geek Alabama talks about and features one crowdsourcing project from crowdsourcing sites such as Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and others.  The hope with Crowdsourcing Mornings is to feature and help a project be successful and reach its fundraising goal.  Please enjoy today’s featured project!

I just wanna help you make Such Good Bread!

When I started baking it felt very difficult and very overwhelming. But it doesn’t have to be like this! I want to change the dialogue about bread making and show you that you can make Such Good Bread, too!

This cookbook gives you ways of making bread for real life. The recipes are for home bakers whose free time fluctuates. Sometimes you have more time for bread, sometimes you don’t, but you can always have fresh bread at home!

You will find all the basics of sourdough in easy, everyday language. It takes you step by step through making and maintaining your starter, and onto making your very first loaf.

And beyond the basics, Such Good Bread gives you recipes for many sweet and savory bread creations including babka, scrolls, buns, bagels, pretzels, bread rolls, pizza and focaccia.

A crisp surface and a fluffy interior — the design principles for the book are derived from bread. 🙂 Such Good Bread will be a hard-cover book, in full colour, with lots of photos: an engaging and accessible design.

It’s a book for reading in the kitchen, seamlessly guiding you through the recipes. We have developed our own spin on contemporary graphic design, making it original as well as familiar and welcoming. The bright yet cosy colors we are using in the book are inspired by those you’ll see in my kitchen and in my baking creations.

The edition printed as part of this Kickstarter campaign will be a special edition dedicated to the supporters of the campaign.

As of December 14th, this project has raised $33,000 of their $31,786 goal. This project has 17 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $21, you will get one eBook.  For a pledge of $38, you will get one book.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/marygracebread/such-good-bread-a-cookbook-by-mary-grace?
