Crowdsourcing Mornings: A Tribute To Stephane Grappelli And Oscar Peterson

Welcome to the Crowdsourcing Mornings segment!  Every weekday morning, Geek Alabama talks about and features one crowdsourcing project from crowdsourcing sites such as Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and others.  The hope with Crowdsourcing Mornings is to feature and help a project be successful and reach its fundraising goal.  Please enjoy today’s featured project!

We are heading into the studio this February, 2nd to record an album celebrating the music of two of our jazz heros, violinist Stephane Grappelli and pianist Oscar Peterson! We have an incredible rhythm section lined up with Matt Munisteri on guitar and Eduardo Belo on bass. We will be recording arrangements of some of our favorite swing tunes, original compositions, and a few Grappelli and OP originals.

Your Kickstarter contributions (either pre-ordering the album, getting the transcription book, or becoming a gold sponsor) will be a huge help in covering some of the costs involved with a new recording project (studio time, mixing/mastering, printing albums, album artwork…). We have been wanting to record this album for a number of years and cannot wait to share it with you!

As of January 25th, this project has raised $3,300 of their $3,500 goal.  This project has 31 days left to raise the $3,500 or it will not be funded.  For a pledge of $10, you will get one digital album.  For a pledge of $20, you will get one signed album.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/136714291/a-tribute-to-stephane-grappelli-and-oscar-peterson?
