Crowdsourcing Mornings: Space Chef – An Action/Cooking Adventure For PC And Consoles

This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.

Please read our crowdsourcing guidelines at:

Space Chef is an open-world, erm… open-galaxy game combining fun cooking, crazy crafting, gun blasting action and anything but your usual farming. Explore a vast procedurally generated universe that is different each playthrough. Meet and interact with interesting humans and aliens. Best of all, bring your friends on delicious adventures with up to four player couch co-op. Coming to PC and all major consoles.

We’ve been inspired by some of our favorite games, like Stardew Valley, Don’t Starve, Overcooked and Space Quest, all mixed into one spicy soup that’ll give you fun for hours and hours to come. Futurama, Rick & Morty and Final Space are some great shows that also inspire us a lot, with their hilarious environments, creatures and characters.

The core gameplay of Space Chef is focused around three main concepts:

  •  Hunt and gather ingredients by visiting planets full of life
  •  Cook and prepare food in your kitchen
  •  Deliver it to hungry customers and become the best chef in the galaxy

The inhabitants of the Horseshoe Nebula are hungry. Cooking food with passion has long since been forgotten. Luckily for you, with just a press of a button your ravenous customers send you orders and it’s up to you to choose which ones to accept. The more orders you handle, the better your cash flow. You will need the biggest grill and the fastest ship to satisfy the most picky customers.

Upgrade your base and craft useful machines by finding scrap parts scattered around space. Mine asteroids for resources and reach further into deep space by upgrading your spaceship and equip it with drills, junk magnets, weapons and other gadgets.

As of November 18th, this project has raised $50,000 of their $19,528 goal. This project has 1 day left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $24, you will get one digital copy.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to:
