This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.
Please read our crowdsourcing guidelines at: https://geekalabama.com/media-kit-pr/geek-alabama-crowdsourcing-guidelines
Chiquita the Vaquita is the story about a beautiful little Vaquita Porpoise and the perilous journey that awaits her navigating through the ocean to reunite with family.
Vaquita porpoises are the most endangered marine mammals that exist. There are 10 or less alive in the world as we speak. The situation in the Sea of Cortez is dire and requires action immediately.
Although our story is a childrens book and does not go into the harsh detail of all the bad things going on in the northen end of the Gulf of California in Baja California, Mexico we still bring awareness somewhat to whats hurting the sea creatures and showcase just how beautiful and sweet these Vaquita porpoises really are. This is a matter that truly deserves attention and together we can help to bring awareness to this near extinct marine mammal and how precious and limited our time with them here on earth with us is.
This book will be between 22 to 24 pages all in high quality hard board style pages. The style you see in most childrens books for durability. Each flip of the page will give you one beautiful image on the left followed by text to the right. Above is an example of one of the pages text. Below the english there will be a spanish translation as well so this is a bilingual book for all to enjoy.
As of August 10th, this project has raised $5,006 of their $5,000 goal. This project has 3 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $15, you will get one PDF book download.
