Crowdsourcing Mornings: Alpha Betas Show – Powering The World With Video Games

This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.

Please read our crowdsourcing guidelines at:

ALRIGHT. You ready?

We’ve brought Alpha Betas to Kickstarter because it is the fastest way for us to get the next season underway AND to make the show you told us you want to see. A show where we will have full creative freedom to build out the Alpha Betas world, characters, storylines, and even feature guest roles for our creator friends.

Over one million dollars was invested into the pilot and we put it up on YouTube for free. Making it was a passion project that we couldn’t wait to share with you all. We love this show – and you’ve shown us so much support already – but we need your help to bring more of it to life.

So, if a world powered by video games is a world you want to live in, please back this project and help us make more episodes!

We love you guys. Thanks for all the support.

The ultimate goal is to complete a full season and we’re starting with 33 minutes of animation. That could mean three 11 minute episodes or a 33 minute Alpha Betas special.

In our pilot, Alpha Team kicked Two Buck Chuck’s ass in Red Head Intervention to restore the national power grid and save Area 51 from downfall. It was heart-pounding action, hilarious banter, and a real love letter to gaming. We were also so lucky to get incredible talent like Paget Brewster, Stephanie Beatriz, Chris Parnell, and legendary voice actor John DiMaggio as part of our supporting cast.

Future episodes will pick up where the pilot left off and story our heroes teleporting into other familiar gaming environments to save the world. We’ve got loads of crazy ideas, cameos lined up, and plenty of gaming tropes to lovingly lampoon. And we can’t wait to share them with all of you.

As of July 23rd, this project has raised $831,000 of their $750,000 goal. This project has 28 days left to raise as much as it can.  For a pledge of $20, you will get three digital wallpapers.  For a pledge of $50, you will get one comic book.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to:
