For the Auburn Nation, this Valentine’s Day was a special treat! This morning, two new Oaks were planted at Toomer’s Corner! The oaks came from a grove in South Carolina, and were selected from 9,000 trees. And just in case one of the oaks don’t make it, a third oak was planted on campus, and can be put in place. The intersection of Magnolia Avenue and College Street looks beautiful again!
Over the next few months, more trees from the acorns of the original oaks will be planted in the corner. And in Fall 2016, we can roll once again! Here are some photos from people there this morning!
