Con Nooga 2014 is This Weekend

This weekend in Chattanooga, Con Nooga will take over downtown and bring a lot of things any geek/nerd would enjoy!  And best of all, this event is for the entire family, even if you are not into anything geeky or nerdy.  Con Nooga is Chattanooga’s first and only Multi-Fandom (Multiple Genre) Convention covering everything from Celebrities, Artists, Authors, Film Makers, Sci-Fi, Horror, Anime, Comics, Paranormal, Costuming, Concerts, Shows, Contests, Gaming, Console Gaming, Seminars, Workshops, Families, and Fun.  Not to mention the numerous dealers, and exhibitors in their 36,000 Square Foot Exhibitor Hall.  Over 100+ Special Guests, dealers, and fan groups help to make Con Nooga complete.

And this year, there are plenty of cool things you can do!  Registration opens up on Friday at 11 am at the Chattanooga Convention Center.  Events also take place at the Chattanooga Choo Choo.  Since both of those venues are a couple of blocks apart, free shuttles will run during the convention!  On Saturday morning starting at 9 am, the 2nd Annual Con Nooga Parade will take place with costumes, various floats, vehicles, and fans traveling the streets of downtown Chattanooga.  The Parade will exit the Choo Choo Historical Hotel, travel down Market Street to 13th Street and finish at the Convention Center.

During the convention, more than 150 people are considered special guests at Con Nooga.  Some of the very special guests will include actors from The Walking Dead including Chandler Riggs, Savana Wehunt, Tony Gowell, and Alex Wayne.  Also, Laney Chantal from Face Off will be there, and Gareth David Lloyd from Torchwood will be there!  And guess what, the 1966 Batmobile from the first Batman TV program will be there!  Con Nooga will also have many authors, artists, bands, and of course, people in costumes!  Learn more about the guests at: http://www.connooga.com/2015/index

Con Nooga will also features lots and lots of gaming.  You can play your favorite card games, board games, console games (sponsored by GameStop), and role-playing games, and you could win some prizes!  Con Nooga will also feature live action role-playing.  Con Nooga will also have plenty of vendors and exhibitors where you can find your favorite geeky/nerdy stuff!

Contests at Con Nooga includes the costume contest, Ms. BioGamer Girl, Saber Idol, big wheel races, fantasy derby, steam punk contest, Texas hold ’em, AMV contest, and more!  Some of the programming at Con Nooga includes a Star Trek vs. Star Wars debate, British track, dance/karaoke, literary, costuming, and even a kids track is available!  And yes, there will be a church service at Con Nooga on Sunday morning called Fans For Christ.  Con Nooga will also have an After Dark track for adults over 18+.  Con Nooga will also feature room parties for the adults after the kids have gone to bed.  Learn more about the programming at: http://www.connooga.com/2141/index.html
