Every year Tigers for Tomorrow gives out stockings to the animals of your choice.  The funds go to help them through the winter months.  Stockings are available for a $20 donation, you can come to the park and pick an animal or tell the staff which animal you want to pick by e-mailing them at [email protected].

Only about half the animals have a stocking so far, and the staff would like to have every animal get a stocking for the Christmas season!  You can choose your favorite animal(s) The stocking will go on the fence in front of the animals’ home.  The funds generated from this fundraiser will help care for the animals through the lean winter months.  Here are some of the animals to choose from: AFRICAN LIONS: Kazuma, Boris the Great, Angel, Furry Lion. TIGERS: Natashia, Cowboy, Jemiah, Jamar, Sugar Ray, Shakira, Towzer, Luna Bella, Tsunami.  BEARS: Yonah, Basil, Sage, Cody.  MOUNTAIN LIONS: Big Toe, Shanika, Lakota, Cherokee.  WOLVES: Tanke, Wamble, Dakota, Corona, Bubba.

Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary Holiday Challenge

Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary is holding a Holiday Crowdrise Challenge.  Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit that provides a loving, forever home to abused, neglected and unwanted animals to include exotics and farm animals.  They currently have approximately 1,500 animals with 100 different species.  The cost to feed and care for their animals is approximately $33,000 per month.

Noah’s Ark is experiencing a great deal of growth over the last few months and they are struggling to keep up with the demand. So rather than nail down one specific need, they have created “Our Christmas Wish” to raise money for a Nutrition Center for their animals as well as a few other needs.  A Nutrition Center for their animals would help them provide a well balanced diet to all the animals in their care.  They desperately need a large, commercial walk in freezer as well as refrigeration unit.  This center will be about 10,000 square feet and house all of their dry goods as well as their produce and frozen items. Large companies often will donate food to them for the animals and they actually have to turn it down at times because they have nowhere to store the food.  Think of how many animals they could save if they just had a place to store the donated food in a safe and proper manner. The Nutrition Center would provide work space for the Keepers to prepare food as well as areas to cook food that is needed for some of their animals. This would be such a blessing to them and the animals here at Noah’s Ark.

With Christmas coming, they hope to be able to gift the animals with some newer enrichment items.  As you can imagine, large balls or bobbins don’t last long in the paws of a predator.  Animals need enrichment items to keep their minds active due to being in captivity.  Busy paws and teeth make for happy animals.  Last but not least, it is that time of year when you think of giving back to those in need.  Noah’s Ark is always in need of money to help feed and care for the more than 1,500 animals in their care.  Won’t you help in some small way to help these animals lead a happier, healthier, more enriched life?Thank you so much from the family at Noah’s Ark and have a very Merry Christmas!

Here is some good news!  A very generous private benefactor has stepped forward with a challenge.  If their fans can donate and get them to $40,000 more for a total of $77,364 on their Crowdrise Challenge page, then this private benefactor will donate an additional $40,000!  As of December 18th, this fundraiser has raised around $43,500.  Also this Friday, 10 year-old Mackenson will experience his first ever Christmas with gifts!  Mackenson has expressed a desire to be a police officer when he grows up and his biggest Christmas wish this year is an Electric Police Car.  This Friday is going to be special!
