Each year the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office holds a free turkey fry as an appreciative gesture to the community. When I went there on Wednesday they had 22 turkey fryers going with a turkey in each one. Many of these turkeys goes to charities and less fortunate people during the holiday. But others in the community gets the opportunity to have their turkey fried up! Each turkey is injected with Cajun-seasoned butter and then coated in more Cajun seasoning before going into the fryer. This is what Thanksgiving is all about. Helping others in the community! Enjoy the photos!
