Fewer cities can now meet the Olympic requirements without major environmental and financial strain, shrinking the pool of viable hosts.

Using climate models and historical weather data, the video estimates how many decades traditional Olympic locations can continue hosting before conditions become unworkable. It concludes that without rapid emissions cuts or major changes to how the Games are organized, the Olympics face a future with far fewer possible hosts.
