Experience the magic of the 2025 CPKC Holiday Train as it travels through Minnesota with locomotive CP 2246, a rebuilt EMD GP20C-ECO, beautifully decorated and lighting up the winter night.
On Sunday, December 14, we capture the Holiday Train along the MN&S Spur in the Twin Cities’ western suburbs, including Crystal, Golden Valley, and St. Louis Park. The following Monday evening, we chase the train west out of the Twin Cities on the CPKC Paynesville Sub, beginning in Medina and ending in Eden Valley.
This video features spectacular nighttime footage, including dramatic scenes of the Holiday Train crossing the Crow River bridge in Rockford, Minnesota, showcasing the glow of the train against the winter landscape.
