Hi folks! I’m Danni Nicholls, a multi-award-nominated, roots/Americana singer/songwriter from Bedford, UK now based in Nashville, TN. I’ve spent a lifetime being obsessed with songs and it’s truly a privilege to get to write and record my own.

Making Moves is my fourth full-length studio album and my first since 2019. Releasing it into the world would mean more to me than I can say. These songs have carried me through some big changes and new beginnings, and now it’s time to share them — with your help — as far and wide as possible.
Whether you’ve supported my music for years or you’re discovering it for the first time, I’m so grateful you’ve found your way here.
This album is a collection of songs written and recorded through a period of huge transition, growth, and rediscovery. I embarked on a life in a different country, far from home in a post pandemic world. I faced some scary health challenges and a major surgery. There have been awakenings and bereavements, longing, love, heartbreak and healing… oof! And I feel so lucky to have music and songs always there to turn to — helping me process all this human-ing.
These tracks are honest and vulnerable but also joyful and bold — exploring identity, love, loss, survival, and hope. The title Making Moves sums up so much of this recent period of my life… literally and metaphorically. I’m equal parts thankful and bewildered by this journey!
