First off, I can’t thank y’all enough for the support you’ve given me over the last 10 years or so as I’ve navigated this wild landscape called the music industry. It’s been truly heartwarming and it really helps me to keep going. Just wanted to let y’all know I’m headed to the studio this weekend to get started on my next full length album. It’s been a few years since I’ve released and brought new music to your ears and I think it’s about damn time. This album is being recorded in a cabin in the North Georgia Mountains and I’m bringing Robert and Jenna along to be a part. We’re taking it old school and stripping it down to just guitar, bass, fiddle and vocals. Kinda like my first studio release “stubborn nail”.
Not gonna lie, just like all of y’all my life has been a bit world wind since “Leave the Door Open” was release in early 2021 so this album, which I’m calling, “A night under the Stars” is a collection of songs I’ve written dealing with everything from depression, falling, growing, losing my father last year to having a great community to help me through all those things and I’m super excited to get these songs out to you.
Now I’ve never done a crowdfunding campaign but that’s exactly what I’m doing right now. I’m asking you for some help to fund this next album. Y’all have asked so many times about vinyl and that is the plan for this project. For it to be released on vinyl. Most of you know Vinyl is not a cheap endeavor and I’m going to need some up front cost covered to get this album recorded, mixed, mastered, and sent out to be pressed before I can get it in your hands. The goal I’m setting will not cover everything but it will help an independent artist like myself make a dent in the cost of making an album and getting it pressed to vinyl.
I’ve set up some rewards for y’all which I think are some fun ways to for me to give back to you for your financial support.
