Welcome to the Crowdsourcing Mornings segment!  Every weekday morning, Geek Alabama talks about and features one crowdsourcing project from crowdsourcing sites such as Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and others.  The hope with Crowdsourcing Mornings is to feature and help a project be successful and reach its fundraising goal.  Please enjoy today’s featured project!

In the enchanting realm of storytelling, a timeless tale has blossomed from a father’s heart—a journey spanning three decades. The Princess and the Gourd isn’t just a children’s book; it’s a testament to love, a bridge between generations, and a legacy awaiting its grand unveiling.

This story is no mere creation; it’s a tapestry woven with a father’s devotion and the shared joy of bedtime tales. From the whisper of lips to the printed page, it’s an ode to the enduring power of family stories.

As we embarked on this journey, life threw challenges our way. My father, diagnosed with Covid-19, fought a prolonged battle, spending months in the hospital. Amidst the uncertainty, one gleaming light emerged—he clung to the dream of publishing this book.

Our collaborative effort became more than just a creative venture; it became a crucial part of his healing process. This book is a testament to resilience, the power of storytelling, and the profound connection between a father and daughter.

Simply put, this is a labor of love between a father and a daughter, a bond that has shaped the very fabric of the narrative.

Within these pages, characters come alive—a wise and benevolent King, his eyes brimming with wisdom; Princess Belwa, embodying beauty through her inner kindness and outer grace; and Malendo, the charismatic adventurer, embarking on a journey that imparts invaluable lessons on compassion and responsibility. Each character, transcending ink and paper, embodies the heartbeat of a father’s future legacy.

As of March 11th, this project has raised $4,800 of their $20,000 goal. This project has 7 days left to raise the $20,000 or it will not be funded. For a pledge of $15, you will get one eBook.  For a pledge of $30, you will get one signed hardcover book.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/falhousebooks/the-princess-and-the-gourd?
