Welcome to the Crowdsourcing Mornings segment! Every weekday morning, Geek Alabama talks about and features one crowdsourcing project from crowdsourcing sites such as Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and others. The hope with Crowdsourcing Mornings is to feature and help a project be successful and reach its fundraising goal. Please enjoy today’s featured project!

Hi, I’m Chris.
In 2022, my world pretty much fell apart. No one died; just a chunk of my heart and a bit of my soul. Things weren’t necessarily always great before that but I was generally hopeful for the future. I lost a lot of hope and fell deeply into a depression.
Then the film and television industry, of which my income primarily comes from, suffered months of strikes. Work was hard to find in all of 2023, chipping further away at my already eroding self worth. I’ve pretty much felt like shit for 2 solid years.
What I Did Yesterday is part of my therapy. It’s a series of mostly wordless slice-of-life snapshots of a guy going through a hard time; it’s as much an experiment in short form visual storytelling as a way to work through my feelings of hurt, anger, loneliness, and anxiety.
The book is finished at 72 pages and will be a 9″x9″ squarebound softcover.
As of February 8th, this project has raised $1,100 of their $2,000 goal. This project has 24 days left to raise the $2,000 or it will not be funded. For a pledge of $6, you will get one PDF book. For a pledge of $15, you will get one book. To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/chrisfason/what-i-did-yesterday?
