Welcome to the Convention Tuesdays segment! Each week here on Geek Alabama, Convention Tuesdays will feature and highlight conventions happening during the upcoming weekend in the State of Alabama, or within short driving distances from Alabama such as Atlanta, Nashville, Chattanooga, New Orleans, Jackson, Memphis, and other nearby cities close to Alabama.

February 24-26 — Pensacon — Pensacola, Florida
Founded in 2013, Pensacon is the premiere comic book and pop culture convention serving Pensacola and the Gulf Coast.
Pensacon 2023 will take place from Friday, February 24 to Sunday, February 26, 2023. The primary convention venue, the Pensacola Bay Center, is where ticketing, celebrity autographs and photo ops, and the vendor floor will be located.
Other official venues include the Wright Place, Rex Theatre, the Clark Family Cultural Center, Museum of Commerce, and Seville Quarter.
Most official events and activities will take place from 1-8pm Friday, 10am-6pm Saturday and 10am-5pm Sunday.

February 25 — Imagi-Con — Brundidge, Alabama
Come together with your community to show appreciation for and learn about the topics and cultures that you love, and to inspire each other to be creative and imaginative.
Imagi-Con is an all-ages fan convention/festival, for gaming, anime, comics, the arts, or anything you can imagine!
Hence the name, Imagi-Con. Our goal is to bring community together by offering experiences, both fun and educational, that inspire others to create and to explore the world around them. We hope that Imagi-Con builds on the Library’s vision of a community full of curiosity and a love of learning.

ATL Comic Convention is happening on February 24th – 26th, 2023 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

February 26 — Toy & Comic Book Show — Columbus, Georgia
Come visit the Coca-Cola Space Science Center for our Bi-annual Comic Book & Toy Show. It will begin at 11am and remain open until 4pm with vendors selling Collectible toys, Comics, posters & more! Game room plus card tournaments will be held in our spare rooms. Admission is $6 at the door with children under the age of 8 being free.
