5 Jobs That Allow You To Make Money From Social Media

Social media is a powerful arena that you can leverage to make money. It gives you direct access to consumers and provides an opportunity for you to use social connections to expand the reach of your website and content if it’s relevant. If you want to know what the pros are doing with social media, check out this infographic detailing five jobs that can get you paid for using social media.

1.  Social Media Strategist

If you enjoy social media, you may want to consider earning money as a social media strategist. Many businesses need social media management services, and successful bloggers can offer their expertise to other companies.

These services can generate between $14 and $35 per hour. Anyone can be a social media strategist by taking Social Media Online Courses. You can be a certified professional ready for the job market in just a few weeks or months.

In social media marketing, having a human touch is essential. You can earn a commission of up to 55% if you convince a business owner to hire your services. This way, you will build a solid online network and be referred to businesses that need your help.

Also, you can leverage your network to increase your client base. By working on your network, you’ll create relationships with local and national companies and have more opportunities to get clients.

2.  Social Media Consulting Manager

Most social media managers earn between $15 and $50 an hour, and the highest-paid social media manager makes around $100 an hour. As a freelancer, you can also make money by providing social media management services to other companies.

You can also expand your earning potential by taking on more responsibilities. You can also become a part-time social media manager by working for a social media marketing agency. You can also start your own social media management company.

3.  Social Media Marketing Communications Director

As a Social Media Marketing Communications Director, you’ll need to learn to charge an hourly rate for your services. You can also set a monthly retainer. This option offers recurring income with less risk than hourly rates, but you’ll need to budget your time well.

While you’ll earn an average of $50,000 a year as a Social Media Marketing Communications Manager, you can make more if you focus on a few high-profile clients. According to CNN Money, companies are increasingly outsourcing the job of social media managers.

Often, these jobs don’t offer benefits or job security and pay a lot less. As of September 2018, there were 88,000 positions advertised on LinkedIn, and twenty-two percent of these were volunteer or intern positions with no benefits.

Regardless of the position, there is room for aspiring social media managers to make money. There are plenty of opportunities for people with the right skills.

4.  Social Media Influencer

If you’re an aspiring social media influencer and want to make a profit on your social media channels, you’ll need to be aware of the tax implications.

While you’re a supplier of services and content to brands, you’re also an independent contractor and will need to report all of your income on your taxes. In the US, you’ll most likely receive 1099 forms from your brand partners and companies for the influencer marketing you do for them.

These influencer marketing agencies source the influencers and make payments to them. You may get paid through these influencer marketing agencies or platforms directly.

5.  Social Media Customer Support

A social customer service job will be a good fit for people who enjoy working with people. This type of work requires a keen eye for detail and monitoring conversations related to a brand.

There are several differences between social customer support and social marketing, so it’s essential to follow the company’s social media guidelines and work closely with your social marketing team.

Conclusion

Since social media is how people keep up with the world, they tend to trust its multiple forms of communication. Their loyalty bolsters companies that commit to meaningful interaction through social media. The five jobs listed act as the go-between for the two relationships, developing brand awareness and sometimes even providing customer support. All 5 include a set of widely accessible online skills, with relatively little training or experience required.
