Crowdsourcing Mornings: A Chad Elliott Muscle Shoals Album

This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.

Please read our crowdsourcing guidelines at: https://geekalabama.com/media-kit-pr/geek-alabama-crowdsourcing-guidelines

In March 2020 I will head down to the legendary FAME studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama to record an entire album with Bo Ramsey and a collection of local Muscle Shoals players.  This will include a couple of the original “Swampers” (David Hood and Spooner Oldham). WHAT?!

I am also very honored to work with Curry Weber (of Ardent and Sun Studio in Memphis, TN) as mixing engineer. It is a dream team, a once in a lifetime crew! I cannot wait to hear the music we will create in the same room that helped produce such classics as Wilson Pickett’s “When a Man Loves a Woman” and “Mustang Sally,” Aretha’s “I Never Loved a Man The Way I Love You,” and Etta James'”Tell Mama” and “I’d Rather Go Blind,” among many, many others!

Please take the time to check out the rewards in the right-side column. I truly cannot make an album like this without your support. Please help me make this dream come true! I am very grateful for all of your support in the past and any contribution is welcome in this new adventure!

As of January 6th, this project has raised $20,000 of their $25,000 goal. This project has 18 days left to raise the $25,000 or it will not be funded. For a pledge of $15, you will get a digital download card.  For a pledge of $25, you will get one signed album.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/chadelliott/chad-elliotts-muscle-shoals-album?
