On this episode of Smarter Every Day, the footage had to be approved by the Department of Defense!  Destin Sandlin was formally a federal worker, and before he left that job to go back to school, he got to go on a mission in Hawaii.

Destin got to film a mission to explain “Multi-Domain Operations” to the public.  After consideration, he decided it was important to inform the public, especially the cyber-domain issue.  His mission was to participate in a missile and torpedo engagement exercise at Pacific Missile Range Facility as part of RIMPAC 2018. RIMPAC (Rim of the Pacific Exercise) is the largest naval exercise in the world. It’s used to test interoperability and the ability to work as an international force.

See how the mission went below!
