Two Job Fairs Attended

So on Tuesday I drove over 300 miles across Alabama and attended job fairs in Roanoke Alabama and in Boaz Alabama.  I am getting tired of the unemployment streak of close to 10 months now.  The first job fair was at the Randolph County Career Expo at Trinity Baptist Church in Roanoke.

This was cool!  A helicopter landed right next to the job fair!  Air Evac Lifeteam flew into the job fair as one of the employers.

This job fair was not as big as the Marshall County job fair.  But some of the people at the job fair included Tanner Health System, Williams Pipeline, Mohawk Flooring, Alabama Cooperative Extension System, City of Roanoke, Randolph County, ALDOT, Southern Union Community College, and the University of West Georgia.  After attending this job fair I drove over 100 miles to attend the Marshall County Career Expo at Snead State Community College.

This job fair was very big!  Alabama Career System had a mobile unit outside the job fair.  Some of the people there included Pilgrim’s, Tyson Chicken, City of Albertville, Marshall County, Personnel Staffing, Marshall Medical Centers, TS Tech Alabama, Progress Rail, Tennessee Valley Authority, Lowe’s, Colormasters, Federal Mogul, BAE Systems, Alatrade Foods, Alabama Robotics Technology Park, and plenty of booths from Snead State Community College.  Overall both job fairs were great and I am hoping I could get a call from someone soon.  Let’s hope so!
