It’s been a bad week to be a bridge. In the first video clip below, a bridge carrying FM 2900 in Kingsland, TX collapsed from record flooding on the Llano River. The TV crew from CBS Austin was lucky enough to capture the bridge collapsing.

The second video clip is disturbing. A 35 ton bus decided to cross the Beaver Bridge in Arkansas. The bridge is a one-lane suspension bridge built in 1949, and has a weight limit of 10 tons. You can see where this is going. While the heavy bus was crossing the bridge, you can see the bridge bow under the weight of the bus. The Arkansas DOT has closed the bridge after this crossing to do a heavy inspection of the bridge.
