Welcome to the Crowdsourcing Mornings segment!  Every weekday morning, Geek Alabama talks about and features one crowdsourcing project from crowdsourcing sites such as, Indiegogo, and others.  The hope with Crowdsourcing Mornings is to feature and help a project be successful and reach its fundraising goal.  Please enjoy today’s featured project!

Please read our crowdsourcing guidelines at:  https://geekalabama.com/media-kit-pr/geek-alabama-crowdsourcing-guidelines

The Laundry Chair is part chair, part storage solution. Instead of throwing your half-dirty clothes in a pile, this chair gives them a proper place to live.

The Laundry Chair has a movable rail for those clothes that aren’t dirty, but also not clean enough to go back in the drawer.

  • A circular clothing rail that moves behind the chair
  • The rail is mounted on a smooth, ball-bearing Lazy Susan
  • Clothes hang around the chair instead of on top of it
  • No piles. No unusable chairs. No pretending you’ll deal with it later.

It’s not really about doing more laundry. Washing clothes after every single wear actually breaks them down faster. Most pieces don’t need a full wash, they just need a bit of air.

When you hang something up instead of putting it back in a drawer, the fabric can breathe. Moisture dries out, smells fade, wrinkles relax. The Laundry Chair does all of that, without adding more clutter to your space.

It’s not about being perfectly put together. It’s about setting up your space in a way that matches real life.

As of March 21st, this project has raised $923,000 of their $50,000 goal. This project has 20 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $999, you will get one laundry chair.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/simonegiertz/laundry-chair-the-bedroom-chair-you-have-always-wanted?
