Welcome to the Crowdsourcing Mornings segment!  Every weekday morning, Geek Alabama talks about and features one crowdsourcing project from crowdsourcing sites such as, Indiegogo, and others.  The hope with Crowdsourcing Mornings is to feature and help a project be successful and reach its fundraising goal.  Please enjoy today’s featured project!

Please read our crowdsourcing guidelines at:  https://geekalabama.com/media-kit-pr/geek-alabama-crowdsourcing-guidelines

You’ve seen his images. You just never knew his name.

Renato Fratini was one of the most influential illustrators of the 20th century — shaping the visual identity of Italian cinema, James Bond, and an era of bold, kinetic film art.

For decades, the imagery endured. The authorship did not.

This is the first authorised archive of his work — endorsed by the Fratini family — bringing together original art, rare film posters and privately held material across more than 900 images in a definitive 448-page volume.

More than a tribute. This is a correction.

Classically trained in Rome, Fratini developed his cinematic style in Italy’s film studios before being invited to London in 1958. The British film industry would not look the same again.

If you love…

• classic cinema posters and the golden age of film advertising
• James Bond and the visual world of 1960s spy films
• mid-century illustration and commercial art
• vintage paperback cover design and painted book jackets
• the history of graphic design and cinematic imagery
• beautifully produced art books designed for collectors

then The Art of Renato Fratini was created for you.

As of March 11th, this project has raised $32,500 of their $7,059 goal. This project has 27 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $30, you will get eight art cards.  For a pledge of $149, you will get one hardcover edition.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/inkforgepress/the-art-of-renato-fratini?
