Welcome to the Crowdsourcing Mornings segment! Every weekday morning, Geek Alabama talks about and features one crowdsourcing project from crowdsourcing sites such as Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and others. The hope with Crowdsourcing Mornings is to feature and help a project be successful and reach its fundraising goal. Please enjoy today’s featured project!

Inspired by my daughter; ever since she could talk, she would stubbornly insist she’s not ready for bed, even in between yawns. So, I would encourage her by saying somebody’s sleepy. Yet, cleverly, she would respond– not me!
Somebody’s Sleepy but not me, is an educational yet enjoyable read aloud and bonding moment between adult and child as the adult narrates, and the child responds to the catchy phrase.
When children see characters they can relate to, it encourages reading, a sense of identity and belonging. Featuring characters from diverse backgrounds also helps children develop empathy, respect, and an appreciation for differences beyond what they know.

As of October 15th, this project has raised $900 of their $1,500 goal. This project has 14 days left to raise the $1,500 or it will not be funded. For a pledge of $10, you will get one eBook. For a pledge of $25, you will get one signed hardcover book. To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/somebodybooks/somebodys-sleepy-but-not-me?
