Hurricane Beryl has moved through Texas and has caused major chaos across Houston and Southeastern Texas.

Texas has its own power grid, and is run by Republican extremists.  And the power grid in Houston is run by an inept company.

As of this writing, millions are still without power across Southeastern Texas.  And the main energy provider, CenterPoint Energy, was caught off guard and not prepared for a category one hurricane.  Imagine if this hurricane was a category 5, nobody in Houston would have power right now because the power company does not care about their infrastructure.

People are suffering in hot homes, hot Apartments, hot nursing homes, with no timetable when the power will be fixed and turned back on.  People are having to throw away millions of dollars worth of cold and frozen foods, which they will not be reimbursed.

Many businesses are still closed, and people have turned to the Whataburger app to find out which locations are open and have power.  Can you believe a restaurant app is a better source of information about who has power rather than the electric company app?

And yes, with the power out in many locations, many traffic lights are also out, so driving has become very dangerous in Houston.

Sadly, this Is what you get when you vote Republican in Texas.  Houston is a more Democrat city, but the state is run by Republicans, and they often overrule anything positive Houston does,  and that includes fixing the power grid infrastructure.

We have seen this time and time again in Texas, from record cold snaps, record heat waves, and record storms.  Texas does not care about maintaining their power grid.  This is what the Republicans want.  That pesky regulation is so evil, which is why they don’t want to connect to the other power grid networks across the United States.

I feel bad for the people in Texas right now who are suffering in their homes or apartments with no power in a heat wave with feel like temperatures over 100°.  Maybe, just maybe, when people go vote in Texas in November, they will think about all this chaos, and vote Democrat.

But they probably won’t, because the propaganda in Texas is so extreme.  If I ever lived in Texas, I would be forced to invest in one of those Generac generators for my home.  I would imagine after the amount of major storms striking Houston this year so far, you will see Generac generator sales Skyrocket.

Because ERCOT and CenterPoint Energy can’t properly maintain their power grids.  People are going to have to look at alternatives to keep the lights on, so they won’t lose everything and potentially die from extreme heat or extreme cold exposure.

Vote better Texas!
