Crowdsourcing Mornings: The Suttons – A Collection Of Comic Strips

This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.

Please read our crowdsourcing guidelines at: https://geekalabama.com/media-kit-pr/geek-alabama-crowdsourcing-guidelines

Hi! I’m Phil and I’d like to print a book, The Suttons that features my semi-autobiographical comic strips about growing up with a young family in Maidstone, UK.

Alan Moore once wrote of The Suttons – “In this work, Phil Elliott has created, by instalments, a simply-drawn yet touchingly personal portrait of a young family and the community surrounding them. Some sequences are fantasy, some are more like beautifully-observed snapshots of suburban life and behavior, but all of them are suffused with a real human warmth that no amount of slickly delivered gags could ever compensate for.”

The Suttons will be a perfect-bound book 245mm wide x 210mm tall (that will be 2 strips per page – over 270 in total) with color covers and 140 B/W pages inside.

You have the option of pledging for The Suttons book on its own (card or hard-backed versions)… or for a copy with an original sketch of a character from the strip on page 1, personally thanking you for your pledge.

As of January 27th, this project has raised $1,200 of their $1,029 goal. This project has 25 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $7, you will get one PDF book.  For a pledge of $13, you will get one physical book.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/thesuttons/the-suttons-a-collection-of-comic-strips-by-phil-elliott?
