Crowdsourcing Mornings: Pathfinder: Wrath Of The Righteous

This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.

As you may know, we at Owlcat Games have spent countless hours playing the Pathfinder tabletop RPG. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to bring this experience to the videogame format by creating a classic isometric party-based computer RPG called Pathfinder: Kingmaker. The phenomenal love and support shown for Kingmaker have inspired us to tell another story from the Age of Lost Omens. Today we are thrilled to introduce the adventure we are so passionate and excited about – Wrath of the Righteous!

While we have enough budget to bring the concept of Wrath of the Righteous to life, we want this game to provide a truly epic experience. The game is built around the idea of a rise to power via one of six different Mythic Paths, each of which will transform the player’s character into a powerful being with special abilities. They will also significantly affect the story branches, change the world around the character, and impact the player’s relationships with companions and NPCs. This idea can be stretched a lot further than our current budget allows.

In order to execute our creative vision in the way it deserves, we need your help. This additional budget will allow the team to develop more complex reactions to progressing on a certain path and expand each Mythic Path into a truly unique experience, with exclusive story branches and character abilities that influence the world around you.

Our Goal of $300,000 will allow us to make Wrath of the Righteous a game of the scale and quality we’ve been dreaming of.

As of March 8th, this project has raised $1.8 million of their $300,000 goal. This project has 2 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $1, you will get pledge updates.  For a pledge of $55, you will get a boxed edition of the game.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to:
