Crowdsourcing Mornings: The Orange Who Ruled The World

This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.

Please read our crowdsourcing guidelines at: https://geekalabama.com/media-kit-pr/geek-alabama-crowdsourcing-guidelines

Introducing the next project from Mascot Press! On the heels of our successful Kickstarter launch of sci-fi graphic novel, The Pipers, we bring you another offering.  The Orange Who Ruled The World is a short story by Benjamin Rosenbaum, and Charlotte Dumortier’s lively and beautiful art is a perfect match!

This unique collaboration continues the Mascot Press tradition of pairing thought-provoking fiction with lush, innovative art.  We are raising funds to compensate both author and illustrator and to publish a 32-page, full-color, hardcover book. Please help us make this project come to life!

An orange ruled the world. It was an unexpected thing, the temporary abdication of Heavenly Providence, entrusting the whole matter to a simple orange. The orange, in a grove in Florida, humbly accepted the honor. The other oranges, the birds, and the men on their tractors wept with joy; the tractors’ motors rumbled hymns of praise.

As of September 12th, this project has raised $600 of their $2,400 goal. This project has 26 days left to raise the $2,400 or it will not be funded.  For a pledge of $4, you will get a ebook.  For a pledge of $12, you will get a printed edition.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/paul-du-coudray/the-orange-who-ruled-the-world?
