14 Days Left Until Christmas
At the North Pole:
We are now two weeks away until Christmas Day! And that means the elves at the North Pole are in overtime mode getting ready for the Christmas sleigh ride. The toy making plant is running 24/7 to make sure all the nice kids get their presents. The elves will be glad to see Christmas 2012 go smoothly so they can relax! Many of them go with Santa to the beach for a vacation after Christmas!
Have A Holly Jolly Christmas was written by Johnny Marks and recorded by Burl Ives in 1965. Christmas is the best time of the year!
Adult Gift Idea:
Here in Alabama we enjoy cold drinks during the summer time. So if you are a Star Wars fan why not get the Death Star Ice Sphere Mold. Now you can have the power of the dark side in your drink! Find at Thinkgeek.com
Child Gift Idea:
Remember the old Etch-A-Sketch? Well the classic writing tablet for kids has moved to the digital age. The Boogie Board LCD Tablet is a paperless LCD writing tablet that writes just like the classic toy. And it erases with a push of a button. Find at Thinkgeek.com.
The need for Christmas gifts for deserving kids in Alabama is huge! It’s even worse in the Anniston/Oxford area when 250 people are losing their jobs during the Christmas season. ABC 33/40 is doing the Toys for Tots toy drive and they have a goal of 80,000 toys. As of December 11th they have around 20,000 toys. That means they need around 60,000 toys by December 20th. Yes the need is that great in Central Alabama.

I know its tough right now. I have been unemployed for 17 months now and I am now on food stamps. I don’t know where you live but if you live in north Alabama you could try Christmas Charities Year-Around. http://www.christmascharitiesyearround.org/ I hope you have a good Christmas!
