After a successful campaign with the award-winning graphic novel ‘Hard Struck’, I had many people contact me asking if I can do something more for the kiddies?

Well, here it is!

This children’s book, filled with charming illustrations, is made for youngsters whose parents fulfill protective roles. It aims to help them comprehend psychological disorders like PTSD and depression, exploring the causes and providing guidance on supporting their parents.

Many parents serving in first responder roles, such as soldiers, police officers, protective services, firefighters, and paramedics, confront mental health issues. Exposure to situations with lasting mental impacts can swiftly affect their personal lives and relationships.

The story follows Rusty, a young sheepdog, as he observes his dad bravely protecting the farm from wolves. Despite his father’s kind heart, the demands of the job have left him visibly more irritable. Readers accompany Rusty as he strives to help his dad when he appears to be struggling.

As of May 17th, this project has raised $3,900 of their $1,132 goal. This project has 29 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $10, you will get one digital book.  For a pledge of $24, you will get one book.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/hard-struck/living-with-a-sheep-dog?
