Girija S was born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, a rare genetic disorder known as Brittle Bone Disease, which is incurable. She faces a constant risk of fractures, requiring careful movement and support.

Despite these challenges, the Bengaluru-based artist has created a life through her handmade jewellery and clay art. Self-taught on the internet, she runs a small business and is financially independent.
