Welcome to the Convention Tuesdays segment!  Each week here on Geek Alabama, Convention Tuesdays will feature and highlight conventions happening during the upcoming weekend in the State of Alabama, or within short driving distances from Alabama such as Atlanta, Nashville, Chattanooga, New Orleans, Jackson, Memphis, and other nearby cities close to Alabama.

April 21-23 — Huntsville Comic Expo — Huntsville, Alabama

The Huntsville Comic & Pop Culture Expo is Alabama’s largest celebration of ALL THINGS GEEK! Year 8 will take place at the VBC South Hall April 21-23, 2023!

The 2023 Huntsville Comic & Pop Culture Expo (Year 8) is a family-friendly 3-day show in the heart of downtown Huntsville celebrating ALL things Comic & Pop Culture! The show will include Cosplay Contests, Gaming Rooms, Discussion Panels, a Charity Auction, Special Celebrity Guests, 100+ Vendors, Artists/Authors Alley and much more!

April 22 — Mobile Bay Anime Fest — Daphne, Alabama

Mobile Bay Anime Festival is a one day event being held to celebrate anime and manga, as well as general pop culture and animation, while bringing together a diverse list of guests, vendors, artists, and fan groups, in an affordable, family friendly environment.

April 20-23 — Atlanta Game Fest — Atlanta, Georgia

Boardgame fans from across the Southeast gather for four days of fun and games. Hundreds of the world’s best boardgames are available for play, as well as friendly folks who can help with the rules. The Flea Market is 2pm Saturday.

April 21-23 — JordanCon — Atlanta, Georgia

JordanCon is a Science Fiction/Fantasy literature convention founded in honor of Robert Jordan, author of the Wheel of Time. Taking place each April in Atlanta, GA, JordanCon is a tax exempt 501(c)(4) non-profit organization, whose proceeds benefit the Mayo Clinic.
