Here’s the inside story on one of the biggest and best high school football field renovations in the country. Piedmont High School – in East Alabama – is widely known as one of the most successful high school football programs in the state of Alabama. Led by head coach Steve Smith, the Piedmont brass, which includes additional coaches, the mayor of Piedmont, current players and former players – shed light on how they first connected with Field Turf, how Field Turf provided them with a locker room facelift, new uniforms and new helmets back in 2015 and the overall challenges associated with maintaining a successful football program in a city that lives under the poverty line.
