Convention Tuesdays: Chattanooga Zine Fest, Wizard Pub Crawl, Brick Universe Chattanooga 2019

Welcome to Convention Tuesdays! Every Tuesday, I will feature and highlight conventions happening during the upcoming weekend in Alabama, or within short driving distances from Alabama.

May 18 — Chattanooga Zine Fest — Chattanooga, Tennessee

The Chattanooga Zine Fest is an annual event hosted by the 4th Floor of the Chattanooga Public Library.  Celebrate independent publishing on the 4th floor of the Chattanooga Public Library downtown. The Fest will host table vendors, speakers, and workshops. Read, buy, sell, and trade zines. Not sure what a zine is? Come and find out! The event is free and open to the public.

May 18 — Wizard Pub Crawl — Columbus, Georgia

On Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019, come out for a stroll through some of Columbus’ most magical pubs with various venue hosting wizard themed stops (Wizard Registry, Badger’s Burrow, Snake’s Pit, Lion’s Den, Eagle’s Nest and Markster’s Wand Shop), along with special, magical themed shots, a wizard costume contest, photographers, a House Points contest (via Colored Event Badges), exclusive drink/shot specials and much more.

May 18-19 — Brick Universe — Chattanooga, Tennessee

At each event, attendees can see incredible exhibits, meet renown professional artists from around the world, and even put their newfound inspiration to work at one of the numerous building stations. From massive skyscrapers and world landmarks to intricate city layouts – BrickUniverse has it all.

In a time where hours of playing video games or watching TV has become the new norm, we need creative outlets such as building with LEGO now more than ever. BrickUniverse provides the space for fans of all ages to channel their creativity through incredible inspiration.
