Join us for the 2026 Rocket City Weather Fest on February 7th from 10 AM to 3 PM in Huntsville, Alabama! Hosted by the American Meteorological Society / National Weather Association Student Chapter at UAH, this exciting annual event brings together meteorology enthusiasts, students, professionals, and the local community for a day full of weather education and fun.
The event will feature a variety of interactive activities across multiple locations, with the Shelby Center at UAH serving as the primary venue. Engage with local meteorologists and participate in all-day activities!
All-Day Activities:
Kid’s Experiments and Activities, Tours of SWIRLL, Exhibitor Booths and Vehicles.

- Keynote Speaker: Dr. Josh Wurman and Dr. Karen Kosiba of the UAH FARM (Flexible Array of Radars and Mesonets) Weather Research Facility!
- Other Speakers Include: Meteorologist Grace Anello from WAAY-31 and Chief Meteorologist Danielle Dozier from WHNT-19
- Weather Briefing: Delivered by AES students, providing the latest insights into current weather patterns.
- Weather and Society in Panel: Learn about the intersection of weather and society from experts in the field:
