This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.

Nowadays, robots are widely used in big factories. They are expensive, large and heavy, they mainly work on heavy-duty tasks. However, few of them are designed for light and budget-friendly tasks. This raises a real challenge in keeping quick ROI in these tasks by using robots. A durable and affordable robot arm with industrial-grade accessories is key.

Designed with six axes, Lite 6 is perfect for simple, repetitive and monotonous tasks. It provides the speed and precision manufacturers require, meanwhile ensures quality and accuracy. The flexibility of Lite 6 allows manufacturers to optimize workflow, increase productivity, reduce floor space utilization, lower production costs.

Lite 6 helps researchers automate manual tasks and free up time to focus on more significant or pressing tasks. By using Lite 6 in lab automation, accidents and human error can be prevented. And above all, it can be customized easily to meet a lab’s needs.

By taking advantage of open source SDKs, robotics research will be much easier. Moreover, in order to make robot integration relatively intuitive and smooth, we are working on ROS/ROS2 seriously.

As of November 16th, this project has raised $627,000 of their $50,000 goal. This project has 4 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $1,499, you will get one Lite 6 kit.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ufactory/ufactory-lite-6-most-affordable-collaborative-robot-arm?
