Welcome to the Crowdsourcing Mornings segment! Every weekday morning, Geek Alabama talks about and features one crowdsourcing project from crowdsourcing sites such as, Indiegogo, and others. The hope with Crowdsourcing Mornings is to feature and help a project be successful and reach its fundraising goal. Please enjoy today’s featured project!

At Microcosm, we publish titles focused on changing your life, and the world around you. As a neurodivergent-led business with a neurodiverse staff, we’re thrilled to see broader acceptance, diagnosis, and support for all kinds of spicy brain styles. But when it comes to real resources for day-to-day life with ADHD, written from an ADHD-haver’s perspective, there’s not much out there!
We encounter lots of meant-to-be-helpful suggestions, like break up tasks, write things down, or use all kinds of different apps and such. But for our fellow ADHDers out there, we wanted to offer something that’s less about what you can do, and more about who you are. Something that reflects your actual experiences, offers you solidarity and strategies, and embraces the gifts and challenges of ADHD with an honest, knowledgable perspective. You already know that using a planner, a timer, and another to-do list won’t magically make you neurotypical—but what if you didn’t have to work quite so hard to fit others’ expectations?
Our new ADHD FAQ book and ADHD Coping Skills Deck go deep into the ADHD experience, covering everything from meds to food prep to relationships. And they’re created by people who understand what living with ADHD is really like, so they open up plenty of space for your frustrations, quirks, and tiny-but-mighty successes.
Whether you’re navigating your own diagnosis, trying to understand a loved one, or looking for ways to support your students, family members, coworkers, employees, or anyone else in your life with ADHD, these tools are here to help—from our unique brains to yours!
Everything you ever wanted to ask about ADHD, but kept forgetting to!
An approachable and punchy deep-dive guide to the ADHD experience. This personable, readable, and factual guide cuts through stigma to go beyond the basics, serving up nuanced answers and advice you can use today.
It’s packed with supportive strategies and insightful, funny answers about stuff like:
- Write reminders on your hand. It is very unlikely you will misplace your hand.
- Eat like a toddler if you have to!
- Hate making lists? Me too. I’m really resentful about how helpful they are. Same goes for exercise.
- Try not to insult people for stating the obvious. Most of them have no idea that the obvious thing is incapable of holding your attention.
The goal isn’t to fix your brain, it’s to learn to work with it!
As of April 20th, this project has raised $12,700 of their $6,000 goal. This project has 9 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $10, you will get one eBook.
