As Democrats try to figure out if President Biden is going to stay in the presidential race. People on social media are talking about the 2016 race.
So let’s go back to 2016 everyone, where it was Donald Trump versus Hillary Clinton. During the Democratic primary, there were a lot of people supporting Bernie Sanders. Eventually Hillary Clinton won the nomination but lost the race.
I see the talk on social media from people wishing that the Democrats did not go extremely hard against Bernie Sanders. But I’m sorry to say, if somehow Bernie Sanders got the Democratic nomination in 2016, he would have lost to Donald Trump by even a bigger margin than Hillary Clinton.
Admit it, Bernie Sanders was too far to the left. And because of the right wing media ecosystem that existed back in 2016, and is even bigger today, they would have torn Bernie Sanders apart.
And let’s talk about Hillary Clinton, she was an extremely terrible campaigner. She failed to campaign in States like Wisconsin. And she did a terrible job during the presidential debates. I mean, during the second debate she let Trump dominate and stand over her, remember that?
The fact is, the majority of Americans do not want an extreme leftist as their president. It seems like Democrats only care about the most leftist people they can find. Americans want someone as their president that is closer to the center. And that was why Biden won the presidency in 2020.
But Biden barely won in 2020. Even with all the issues with COVID-19 that Trump caused as president, Biden only won with a little over 40,000 votes in three states.
If COVID-19 was not a factor in 2020, Trump would have beaten Biden in a landslide. It just seems like the Democrats do not care about real politics.
I feel like the National Democrat Party is in need of a serious reform from top to bottom. Because as of right now, Democrats are not picking the right people to lead this country. Not only the presidency, but also Congress, and all the state races.
I wonder why Democrats continue to lose state races all the time? They are spending too much time concentrating on National races instead of focusing on local communities.
And right now the real action in politics is in state houses around the country. Democrats need to literally tear everything down and rebuild from the bottom up.
They need to invest more in local races.
They need to invest in better candidates.
They need to invest in media infrastructure.
And they need to change everything, before Trump gets re-elected and the United States becomes a white Christian nationalist fascist Society.
