The Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been spending the past few days in Washington DC. And today he gave his speech in a joint session of Congress.
Of course he’s going to defend Israel and push back against the Palestinians. For the past few decades, Israel has been taking over more and more land from the Palestinians. And they have been at war with Hamas since they were attacked last October.
There is one big thing I wanted to focus on in his speech. He criticized all the protesters here in the United States and around the world that are protesting against Israel.
I follow several social media accounts that have been covering the pro-Palestinian protests happening across the country and around the world. And the protesters have every right to peacefully protest. No, the protesters should not be ashamed of themselves as Netanyahu said during his speech.
The protesters have very good rights to be protesting right now because Gaza has been turned into a killing zone. I have been seeing the videos and photos of innocent people not affiliated with Hamas being injured or killed by the Israeli military.
It is not right to see innocent people stuck at Gaza right now being bombed, being starved, and being ignored. Yes, I do not agree with what Hamas did last October. But it feels like Israel wants to wipe off Gaza completely.
Of course Netanyahu will not say this during the speech today. But it feels like Israel wants to force everyone out of Gaza, annex all of it into Israel, and screw the Palestinians.
And it’s not just Gaza, Israel has been annexing more and more land from the West Bank as well.
So my question is this, if Israel is wanting all the land, where do the Palestinian people go?
Egypt does not want them.
Jordan does not want them.
Lebanon does not want them.
Saudi Arabia does not want them.
Syria does not want them.
Iran does not want them.
So where do the Palestinian people go? Or is Israel advocating for the complete annihilation of the Palestinian people?
The protesters supporting the rights of the Palestinian people are not Iran’s useful idiots. More and more people around the world are supporting the rights of the Palestinian people.
The Palestinian people don’t need to be bombed to death.
They don’t need to be starved to death.
They don’t need to be dehydrated to death.
They don’t need to be injured to death.
They deserve the right to live. And Israel needs to accept this fact.
