Crowdsourcing Mornings: Benro Theta: The Intelligent Modular Travel Tripod

Welcome to the Crowdsourcing Mornings segment!  Every weekday morning, Geek Alabama talks about and features one crowdsourcing project from crowdsourcing sites such as Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and others.  The hope with Crowdsourcing Mornings is to feature and help a project be successful and reach its fundraising goal.  Please enjoy today’s featured project!

We are Benro! For 30 years, we have been manufacturing and designing tripods. We have never ceased developing and designing photographic equipment that improves a photographer’s efficiency. From the most basic camera tripod, to products such as the Polaris Smart Tripod Head and Theta Smart Tripod – Benro’s innovation through technology has been unabated. Thank you for your continued support of our products.

As technology advances, we’re constantly moving toward a future where devices can do more with less. The Benro Theta is no exception to this rule. Theta is a highly innovative product that combines portability, stability, efficiency and intelligence. Theta offers the same stability a regular tripod does, but with many extras to assist photographers in taking the perfect shot with ease. From rapid leg deployment and automatic leveling, to remote camera control, automatic exposure adjustment, and livestreaming – Theta is designed to elevate your photographic journey.

Theta has been an idea we’ve been dying to bring to fruition since it was first conceived in 2021. The product you’re seeing in this project is the result of innumerable hours of designing and redesigning. We’re perfectionists, and we wanted to make sure we got this one right.

As of March 20th, this project has raised $1.2 million of their $50,000 goal. This project has 32 days left to raise as much as it can. For a pledge of $5, you will get project updates.  For a pledge of $349, you will get one Theta.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to:
