Widow’s Bay dominated the 2026 Emmys with a record 14 wins, the most ever for a comedy series in a single year, and JustWatch data shows its streaming popularity climbed right along with it.
The numbers below are based on strong streaming intent signals from real JustWatch users, tracked across the nominations period (July 8 to 15) and the awards and post win period (September 13 to 16).
A few highlights from the report:
- Widow’s Bay Leads From Start To Finish: The Apple TV comedy posted the highest JustWatch popularity score of all five nominees tracked, every single day, before and after the ceremony. Its popularity climbed 72 percentage points (pp) from the nominations period to its post win peak.
- Nominations Didn’t Predict Popularity: The Pitt led the field with 25 nominations and won Outstanding Drama Series for a second year running, but its popularity only grew 9 pp.
- A Limited Series Turnaround: DTF St. Louis fell well below its own baseline during the nominations period, then jumped past The Pitt in popularity right after the ceremony to land as the second most popular title in the tracker, the same week it beat nominations leader Beef for Outstanding Limited Series.
- Wins Don’t Guarantee Buzz: Spider-Noir won five Emmys at the Creative Arts ceremony, but its popularity kept falling through awards weekend, closing out the tracking window at its lowest point of the summer.
The accompanying graphic below shows the popularity after the 2026 Emmys.
