On April 27, 2011, four EF5 tornadoes struck Alabama in a single day — the most violent tornado outbreak in American history. Everyone remembers Tuscaloosa. Nobody remembers Rainesville.

While the world watched Tuscaloosa burn, a smaller town 90 miles away was being erased. The Rainesville EF5 killed 25 people, destroyed everything in its path, and vanished from history almost immediately. This is the story they forgot to tell.
