Last year, during a big life transition, my family and I met a lizard who lived on our front porch. We named him Lester. Lester brought comfort to our lives in an unexpected way.
At the time, my daughter was struggling with our move. It was a big change, and I could see how much it was weighing on her. One day, instead of focusing on our worries, we decided to do something different. We started spreading kindness. We helped nature, people in our community, friends, and strangers. We put love out into the world.
And something magical happened…
The more kindness we shared, the lighter our hearts became. We realized that even in the hardest times, there is always light. We just have to create it.
That’s the heart of this book. It’s about how simple acts of love and kindness can turn a tough day into something beautiful. It’s about seeing the world a little differently, just like we did with Lester.
