Well today was a very dark day in American history.  As you know, I do not support Donald Trump.  But what happened to him today at a rally in Pennsylvania was unacceptable.  You beat somebody at the ballot box, not by having an idiot try to assassinate someone.

Donald Trump was speaking when a sniper from hundreds of yards away on top of a roof began shooting.  Trump is very lucky to still be alive right now.  And I hate to say this, this event will cause the rhetoric and hatefulness we see currently in the United states to go up tremendously.

For the past few years, Republicans have been spewing all kinds of hate in the media.  They have been villainizing anyone who is different, like LGBTQ people or disabled people.  And Republicans have tried to kidnap political office holders and stormed the US Capitol on January 6.

All of this hateful rhetoric from the Republicans apparently made one individual angry enough to climb onto a roof and try to assassinate Trump.

And this is something I certainly do not support.  It is not OK to try to use violence on someone you do not like.  And I’m worried that extremist Republicans will now try to take their anger out on vulnerable people like myself.

Some Democrats are calling this assassination attempt as staged, which is completely bonkers and not true.  At the same time, some Republicans are calling for the arrest of President Biden and blaming the media for the attempted assassination, which is also bonkers.

The United States is seeing some of the worst divineness and awful rhetoric we have seen since the first civil war.  And I have been telling people for the past few months, there was going to be a political violence event happening sometime before the election.  Of course, I cannot predict where or when the violence will happen.  But it does sure seem like a political violence event happened this evening.

And I am afraid we will see more political violence between now and the election in November.

While many Democrats are sending well wishes to Trump, we are currently seeing several MAGA republican extremists increase their extremist hateful rhetoric.  So far during the campaigns, Democrats have been the ones offering sensible solutions.  Meanwhile Republicans have been offering Project 2025 and extremist hate.

With the Republican National Convention happening in Milwaukee this week, we will now see even more hateful extremist rhetoric coming from the people giving the speeches.  And I’m afraid what will happen to people like myself who are vulnerable.

I will say this to Democrats now.  If you do not own a gun, go get one.  Then take a gun safety class and learn how to shoot that gun at a gun range.  It might literally save your life at this point.  Any Democrats holding meetings needs to start thinking about security like maybe bringing in police officers to watch over things.

The assassination attempt just opened the floodgates from some MAGA extremists to give them permission to be violent towards Democrats.  For people like myself, I am going to have to watch my back even further now.

Because I am not gonna keep my mouth shut.  I am known to say it like it is.  What happened to Trump tonight was absolutely terrible, and I hope he makes a full recovery.

The goal is to defeat him at the ballot box in November.
