Remembering Friendship Santa Avery Robertson / See Video And Photos From Friendship Santa 2023

Over the past decade, Avery Robertson had played the role of Friendship Santa.  He created homemade Christmas decorations including huge wooden reindeer in his front yard.  Each Christmas season, the Christmas decorations would get bigger and spread out across several yards.

Many of the Christmas decorations at Friendship Santa were created using wood or metal.  Along with the decorations and tons of Christmas lights, several Christmas decorations were also donated.

Along with waving at the cars honking while going by his house, he was dressed as Santa and allowed families with kids to come and sit on his lap, Friendship Santa also went out to the community participating in parades, Christmas events, city and business functions, and even nursing homes.

Avery Robertson loved spreading the true love of Christmas each season.  And he loved my coverage of his yard.  I would come out every Christmas season to take video and photos of Friendship Santa.  In fact, I put him on the map with my coverage.  My coverage of photos and video got put up online and many people enjoyed them and got more people aware of Friendship Santa and went out to his house.

On Sunday night, I read on social media that he was undergoing an medical emergency.  And on Monday morning, it was announced that he sadly passed away.

I will miss Avery Robertson.  He really cared about the great message of Christmas.  And we will be sorely missed.  Below, you can view the video and photos I took of Friendship Santa in December 2023.  I hope the family will continue to share his amazing Christmas decorations each Christmas season.
