LOST iN is an independent travel publisher with over 20 city guides published over the last 10 years. We are a small group of journalists, writers, photographers and designers with a passion for presenting the creative scenes of various cities to our international readership.
Our readers may ask. Why would you want to produce a city guide for Kyiv in Ukraine where a war is raging? The soul of each LOST iN city guide – whether for Paris or Detroit – is the creatives shaping their cities.
Whether through our photo showcase, interviews or features – these humans are the centre of our editorial focus. Their art and creativity, ideas and visions are the nucleus of each book we’ve ever published.
Since Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the previous multifaceted life in Kyiv has been severely impacted. After more than nine months of war, the humans of Kyiv are fighting their way back towards transforming urban life to find a semblance of humanity. Each fraction of normality counts.
Despite its daily life challenges, Kyiv remains a city with a pulsing heart: a pulsing heart brought to life by the people of Kyiv.
With our book, we want to give a platform to the creatives in Kyiv. Support them in moving on by showcasing their energy and creativity and presenting their engagement for their city to the rest of the world.
LOST IN Kyiv presents writers, photographers, designers, filmmakers, culinary fore-thinkers, their current lives and work.
